Description: This is the story of God’s miraculous work through one indigenous missionary and his ministry in eastern India. It begins as the story of Yesupadam, whose name means “Jesus Foot”, a starving Untouchable boy embittered by his caste and poverty. He turns to communism, atheism, gambling, alcohol and gang violence in his search for purpose but becomes radically born again through a personal encounter with Jesus Christ. His life as a deadbeat husband, father and drunkard is transformed and Yesupadam becomes a tireless evangelist. His growing ministry begins to target the unreached tribal peoples in the mountains of Andhra Pradesh and dramatic miracles take place as the message of salvation is shared. While many books about missions revolve around Westerners bringing the Gospel to other ethnic groups and struggling to break through cultural barriers, the real lifeblood of world missions today springs from the effective evangelism of Christians reaching their own peoples. Yesupadam and the others in Love-n-Care Ministries have lived lives of great sacrifice to bring the Gospel to their nation. These men tell of God using their prayers to cure cancer, heal sickness, restore deaf ears, cast out evil spirits and raise the dead. More importantly, they tell of people coming to Christ. Through the preaching and praying of these pastors and evangelists, Love-n-Care Ministries is doing what no other Christian group is doing in Andhra Pradesh: planting churches not only in Indian villages but in every major village in the tribal areas. In a tribal region with over 6 million people, LNC has already planted more than 300 churches since 1995. However, this is not a story of the finished past but of the continuing present and unfolding future. Yesupadam and the believers in LNC have great faith to believe for more — more churches, more reached villages, more children’s homes and even a university. Clearly, God has much more to do through Yesupadam and these faithful Christians in east India
In The Tale of Two Sons, one of America's most loved Bible teachers takes you deeper into Luke 15 than ever before, revealing insights into the culture of Jesus' day and an unforgettable ending. The Parable of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11-32) has been preached from nearly every pulpit in the world and is known by many who read and cherish the Bible. The story is so powerful because it presents, in clear and inspiring terms, our struggle with sin, the need for humble repentance, and the Father's inexhaustible mercy and love. Unfortunately, many Christians would say that they have nothing new to learn from this gem of Scripture. It has lost its luster. But in The Tale of Two Sons, John MacArthur restores the brilliance of this passage, giving engrossing historical background and unveiling a surprise ending readers have never heard before.

Tackling near-death experiences and demon possession, NY Times best-selling author Ted Dekker delivers a riveting thriller of sin and salvation. FBI behavioral psychologist Daniel Clark has been made famous by his arguments that religion is one of society's greatest antagonists. What Daniel doesn't know is that his obsessive pursuit of a serial killer known only as "Eve" will end in his own death at Eve's hand. Twenty minutes later Daniel is resuscitated, only to be haunted by those twenty missing minutes of life. It soon becomes painfully clear that the only way to stop Eve is to recover those missing minutes by dying . . . again. What isn't nearly as clear is just how many times he will have to die to discover the truth, not only about Eve, but about himself. Daniel will have to face haunting realities about demon possession in the modern world--and reevaluate his own prejudice against religion--to stop the killer.

ISBN13: 9780978742812 ISBN: 0978742818 Vendor Name: BELIEVE BOOKS Released: Nov 10, 2007 Group: Books Category: Inspirational, Biography, General Description: Reverend Mother’s Daughter is the extraordinary real life story of author Mary Haskett. In her rivetting account, the author experiences racial rejection, abuse and the terrors of war but is lovingly adopted by a compassionate Reverend Mother. Starting in England in 1934, Mary takes the reader on a dramatic journey—from the time of her rejection by her birth family and her adoption by her benefactor (the Mother Superior of a nunnery) through years of struggle, abuse and confusion to the joyful life that she lives today. Mary skillfully writes of her experiences and of the people who were part of her life—those who were very dear to her and those caregivers who abused their authority when she was separated from Reverend Mother by the war, of her many childhood experiences away from her care, the reunion with her at age fourteen and the gradual emergence into adulthood. She tells how she followed Reverend Mother’s wishes, reluctantly pursuing a career in nursing, despite her desire to escape the real world through a life in show business. She introduces the reader to Mario, her first love, who swept her into a new world, took her to Paris for their honeymoon, to Italy, to meet his family and eventually to the Bahamas, where they lived with their children. One day her world comes to a crashing halt when Mario leaves her for another woman. Mary’s poignant search for her birth family, their rejection and eventual acceptance of her, make for a heart-rending, dramatic story that will bless every reader. This book reads like a novel and yet it is a real life story and true in every way. Only towards the end of the book does Mary come to an understanding of the love of Jesus for her and embrace it with all her heart. She presents the wonderful message of God's salvation in such a gentle way that all readers - those who believe and those who do not yet believe - will receive the message with joy and be glad they have read this uplifting book. Endorsements: "An obviously gifted story-teller, Mary writes this riveting account of her own life with heart-warming honesty, charming humor and great doses of grace. Fay Rowe, Author of 'What’s in a Name' and 'Keepers of the Testimony' "From the first page, you'll be swept away on the incredible journey that has been Mary Haskett's life. She shows us over and over how God sees and cares for his children -- even when we think He is silent." Ginger Kolbaba, Author of 'Desperate Pastors’ Wives' and editor of 'Marriage Partnership'

Harry Jackson and Tony Perkins believe that America stands at a crossroads. As a nation we must choose God's blessings or His destruction of our society. The "Religious Right," as it has been termed, often looks to the world as its enemy, and many Christians have seen themselves as combatants in war against anti-God forces. In Personal Faith, Public Policy, Jackson and Perkins take a radical new position, stating that the Christian church must lead morally and impact the culture with personal spiritual power and unified Christian public policy, demonstrating how a unified church can tackle each one of the seven major problems of our culture
